Meila's turn

Tuesday, July 25, 2006

It's pitiful and I know it.

When I vacuum my kids ask
Who's coming over?

When I get ready for the day my kids ask
Where are we going?

if the mole was on the otherside

Recently it has come to my attention that my husband resembles John Boy from the Waltons.
I'm old enough to know what the Waltons were but too young to have ever watched an espidode.
On the other hand I totally could of told you all about Fred Savage aka Kevin Arnold.

Are you feeling itchy?

Have you ever seen anything so cute? (besides my baby of course)

Yesterday I came across something that looked a lot like a nit in my hair. Instead of totally freaking out I remained calm trying to convince myself it was just dandruff. After checking the girls hair and only finding pink glitter in Meila's hair (?) I figured that it must of been remnants of peeling skin from burning my scalp at the pool last week.

It just so happened that Ailee had her 6month check -up yesterday so I decided to ask the doctor about it. He thoroughly checked the girls hair and couldn't find anything that looked suspicious. That is until he looked in my hair. Yeah- that's right I had those things crawling around and laying their eggs on my head. Besides wanting to hurl out of disgust I was bewildered of how I could have them in my hair but the girls didn't. I mean isn't it usually the kids giving it to their parents? I tried to think of how this was possible and could come up with only one explanation. The airplane flight. So not only do the airlines break the wheel off my luggage but they also give me head lice. I feel a lawsuit coming on.

Ok- so fast forward of few hours and many loads of laundry later I am outside with Meila and she is playing with her fellow 3yr old friend who lives next door. I happen to look down at the neighbor girls head and guess what? yep - eggs everywhere. Then I remember back about 2 weeks ago when I was sitting on the porch steps painting my toenails and then decided to paint the girls nails and since neighbor girl was there too I painted her nails and as I painted her nails she kept leaning over and butting her head up against my head. Mystery solved.

that's it for now- Gotta go do more laundry and take more prozac.

Librarian and momma go wild!

We had a great time in New Orleans. Though Bryan was busy with his convention during most of the trip we were able to go out together for a whole hour and get crazy on Bourbon Street. Look at that wild couple holding a sign. Crazee i tell you!
